PAINTED ROSES

THIS IS HOW I LIKE TO PAINT MY ROSES.

PAINTING ROSES: STEP  1

400 STEP 1 ROSE SKETCH.jpg

Get a canvass and a pencil. Find some rose

pictures, or find an oooh - sooo - lovely rose

bush, get comfortable, and sketch it out.

STEP 2. BLOCK IN MAIN COLORS.jpg

To paint your roses, Start blocking in the main colors.

You can do this with acrylic or oil paint. When you apply

your base paint, you will want to use a  thicker brush.

That way you can  cover your canvass faster. It is really

important to have a brush that is firm enough, so you can

control the application of your paint. Painting with acrylics,

control the consistency of your paint by adding water to

thin it down. Use thinner  when painting with oils.
